Stretch & Challenge
Still Life Drawing
Drawing is a key component of Art. Drawing is a powerful activity that boosts brain health, reduces stress, and improves focus.
The more you draw the better you get! That's why this task repeats itself on the the other KS3 pages.
Whilst at home practice drawing by creating still life arrangements. Drawings can be any size, done using any drawing media such as pencil, pen, charcoal, paint or even something like collage.

Alternative Activities
The activities in this section are designed to allow students to practice and refine skills that are covered during Art lessons. The activities can be done exactly as intended or could merely serve as inspiration for a different piece of Art. There is no limit to creativity and the tasks should be thought of as a starting point with the end goal being for students to work on their own independent projects, base on their own interests.
Year 9 Art Day
On Monday 5th February 2024 a group of 31 Year 9 pupils worked in the Art Department to produce work based on the theme of Biodiversity. It was an excellent opportunity for the pupils to be creative and work as part of a large team.
The results were fantastic and can be seen below!
