Dear Parents/Guardians

At the end of last year the Mark Twain Library had a large amount of books that were not returned and unpaid fines. To combat this issue, students who have books that are more than 3 weeks late will receive a fine notice at the end of the month. If the book is not returned a fine will be assessed. This means the replacement fine will be put in your Infinite Campus account and it will need to be paid. Last year, we still allowed students to continue to check out books while having fines and missing books. This practice will not be in place for the 2024-2025 school year. We can’t lose books in our collection at the rate we currently are. If your child has a missing book or unpaid fine they will be able to read a “borrow book" during their library class but they won’t be able to check it out and take it home.
