Steps to the New York State Seal of Biliteracy

1. Read the BCSD NYSSB Criteria and become familiar with the requirements

2. Submit an application when you are ready to complete the requirements

3. Schedule & Complete any language assessments for languages not taught in BCHS

4. Meet regularly with the Supervisor of World Languages to verify your progress.

5. Culminating Project: Submit all assignments by April 1st of Senior Year.

6. Graduate high school with a Seal of Biliteracy on your diploma

7. Proudly indicate this distinction on your résumé and college applications

Waiting to apply until you feel ready is ok, but don't wait until last minute!
