This project is a way for our students to deeply explore and learn about an area of interest and the science behind it!
Requirements for the Science Fiction Project
Students must:
Choose a scientific concept or phenomena that they are interested in
Research the concept or law to develop an understanding that goes beyond what is taught in science class.
Compose a 3-5 page paper that demonstrates a thorough understanding of the phenomena and scientific concepts. Students should write for an audience that would have little to no knowledge of the concepts.
Use models, photos, illustrations or diagrams to enhance your story
Important Guidelines for Writers:
You must have a minimum of 3-5 typed pages.
The models, illustrations, photos or diagrams can be hand-drawn, digital, or can be drawn by someone other than participant.
Presentation is clear, concise, and logical
