Environmental Innovation

Pipeline disasters, global warming, smog induced asthma, droughts, wildfires, flooding, species on the brink of extinction,.... you can't turn on the news without hearing about a global environmental problem. Scientists and engineers work together to find solutions and strategies to address these problems.

The Environmental Innovation project is your chance to provide a means of sharing environmentally innovative ideas with the world. These ideas may be new products, procedures, inventions, promotional projects or community events designed to solve or improve an environmental problem.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS PROJECT:

Students must:

Identify an environmental problem
Research the environmental problem to gain a better understanding
Determine a potential solution for the problem.
Create a presentation using visual aids and appropriate technologies that demonstrates a thorough understanding of the ecological problem and your proposed solution / product.

IMPORTANT GUIDELINES FOR ENVIRONMENTAL INNOVATORS....

- Make sure there are abundant and understandable resources available to research your problem
- Make sure there is relevant and current data available support your problem
- Make sure the problem has an impact on society
