All students must earn 3.5 credits of social studies in order to meet graduation requirements. In grade 9, students must take World History I and in grade 10 they will take either World History II, AP Human Geography, or AP European History (both AP classes have certain prerequisites).
In grade 11, students may choose from one of three options to satisfy the US History requirement -
AP US History 31, US History 32, or American Studies 32.
At some point in their four years, students must also take and pass one of two Civics classes -
Introduction to Law & Civics or Global Issues & Civics.
Students may also choose to enroll in a number of elective classes in social studies throughout their
high school career, including several AP and other college credit earning classes.
