ACES (Athletes Committed to Educating Students) is a twin-cities based nonprofit organization aimed at closing the academic opportunity gap in Minnesota Public Schools. We provide free-of-charge before and after school programming for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade focusing on math and social emotional learning skills. ACES is currently looking for part-time Academic Coaches passionate about education, fostering play, and making a difference in students’ lives. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a school environment, practice developing and delivering lesson plans, and build connections with public schools throughout Minneapolis and St. Paul. Academic Coaches starting rates are $17-$28 per hour with additional sign-on bonuses and referral bonuses available. Our family is Christian and we live a holistic lifestyle. We tried to incorporate Montessori principles when we can. We have a big mastiff dog who is a big sweetheart. These positions provide hands-on experience working with elementary aged students, and we provide training in safety, behavior and group management, accommodating special needs, and more. In addition, we are always willing to help staff get more experience in the areas they are looking to grow, whether that is writing lesson plans, communicating with parents, or learning about special needs

The positions are all June-August and take place at New Brighton parks not more than 10-15 minutes from Bethel. Pay ranges from $14.28-$22.38/hour. Positions are Mon-Fri and program hours vary from 7am-6pm. We are flexible with scheduling.

We are part of the Northern Twin Cities area and we meet near the Roseville Mall (2711 Fairview Ave N, Roseville, MN 55113). We have been a part of this area for about four years. 

 

We meet on Monday nights. Our clubs are from 7:27-8:45/9:00pm. There is an optional leader meeting at 6:30pm each night. And there is optional leader worship before that at 6:15pm. This is our first year doing inclusive club with the traditional high school students.

Behavioral Dimensions, based out of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, provides life-changing services to children with autism and related conditions. We are currently hiring undergraduate, college graduates, and graduate students from colleges and universities studying in a wide variety of human services fields.

 

We at Behavioral Dimensions believe that the experiences we offer students gives them excellent opportunities to apply what they are learning in the classroom to real life situations. Students will learn how to implement research based behavioral techniques to teach young children a wide variety of skills as well as how to prevent and respond to challenging situations. Looking for coaches and judges for the 2022-2023 debate season (for high school or middle schools).

Anyone who competed in Policy/Cross-Examination, Lincoln Douglas, or Public Forum debate as high schoolers would be preferred, but is by no means required. 

We pay our coaches $2,250 for the September-December season and we pay judges $55-90 a day to judge depending on how many debates there are. Debate is a great way to earn a good amount of money as a coach or some nice weekend money as a judge - it's also an excellent way to fulfill volunteer hours and work with students. Most importantly, it's a fulfilling and fun experience that is as empowering and educational for young mentors in our community as it is for the students they impact!
