December 2016 - Green Mountain Power presentation
As part of our unit on electricity, two employees of the Green Mountain Power company visited BES third and fourth graders. Students learned about potential electrical hazards, how power is transmitted along lines to homes and businesses, and what pole-mounted transformers do. Students were especially excited to see a GMP lineman climb a pole outside the school!
February 2017 - Field trip to the Rikert Nordic Center
Students learned the basics of cross-country skiing. They also
reenacted the 1911 "race to the South Pole," using sleds and snowshoes!

Our students recently earned a class celebration.
