Music therapy sessions are tailored to the individual's needs and preferences. Treatment plans are designed with consideration for the whole individual and goals established with the client's input and guidance. One-to-one music therapy services are provided at home, and sessions are offered in 30, 45, or 60-minute increments. (Not currently available.)
Music Therapy Groups offered at your facility
Music Therapy Drum Circles: Provide individuals with an opportunity to interact with others passionate about music in a safe and welcoming environment. Drum circles offer engagement in socialization, self-expression, emotional expression, fine and gross motor movement, relaxation, musical imagination, and creativity. Interventions such as active singing, instrument playing, musical games, breathing exercises, and improvisation are utilized to immerse participants in this experiential group. No previous music skills are necessary. Sessions range between 30-45 minutes.
Remo HealthRhythms Protocol: An evidence-based program designed as a creative music expression protocol supported by several peer-reviewed scientific publications focusing on biological and psychological outcomes. Potential applications include:

This 60-minute group drumming circle utilizes a 10-step protocol that requires no previous musical experience and promotes a supportive, nurturing, and self-expressive environment. The protocol consists of a six-week program requiring regular weekly attendance. Group occupancy is set between 10-15 participants. Please contact us for more information.
Music Therapy Group Sessions: Offer participants a variety of evidence-based music interventions that promote, but are not limited to, socialization, cognitive engagement, reminiscence/life review, communication, self-expression, emotional expression, independent choice-making, fine and gross motor movement, and relaxation. Interventions engage participants through active singing, instrument play, song analysis, lyric discussion, performance, composition, improvisation, fine and gross motor movement, musical games, and receptive music listening. Your music therapist will tailor the group to include members' preferences. Group size can range from small (6-9 participants) to large (10-15 participants.) No previous music skills are necessary. Sessions are typically 30, 45, or 60 minutes.
*Group sessions offered at Be Sharp Music Therapy, LLC locations will incur a rental fee.
*Sessions outside of Indianapolis and surrounding areas will be subject to a travel fee.
Focused Music Imagery is the first level of the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music. In this setting, the music therapist directs the client through a verbally guided imagery experience supported by carefully chosen music. The imagery connects the client with their internal world, providing a positive internal experience with which to relate and connecting the client with their positive inner resources. This therapy's goal is to provide an experience for clients seeking positive emotional support. Sessions are 60 minutes in length. Contact us for more information.
Music Therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program.
