This year begins my thirteenth year teaching in the Bourbonnais School District. Prior to teaching at LeVasseur, I taught at Robert Frost School for nine years in both pre-K and kindergarten. I attended Illinois State University where I received my bachelors degree in early childhood education with a special ed. approval. In 2014, I decided to go back and get my Master's degree from Olivet Nazarene University as a reading specialist. Prior to teaching, I was a children's librarian for 10 years. With over 20 years of experience in children's literature, I love to incorporate many fun and engaging literacy experiences in my classroom on a daily basis. I want my students to enjoy learning and make their educational experience as fun and rewarding as can be. I currently live in Limestone with my husband and two children. I love to run, swim, read, vacation, scrapbook, and, of course, spend time with my family!
