AUDITIONS FOR FALL MUSICAL 2026
ALL BEMS students will sign up for a time at their school with Mrs. Bingham.
We will be accepting a few interns this year. Please plan to attend the auditions at BEMS. Pick up an intern application with Mrs. Bingham.
Important Dates
Monday May 18--Musical announced at closing night of BEHS production of Dear Evan Hansen. Following announcement it will be posted on social media as well.
Friday May 22 Auditions
Tuesday May 26 all members of the cast will be posted here. This will not include specific parts, just if you have been cast in the production.
Wednesday May 27 After school--Call backs by invitation only
Wednesday May 27 6:00pm REQUIRED parent/castmember meeting. ALL castmember must attend with a parent/guardian.
Thursday May 27 or Friday May 28 --Final Cast list will be posted.
1- Choose your audition type. Group or Individual (more info below)
2-Use link provided below to sign up for an audiiton type/time
3- Pick up application in person from Mrs. Day or Mrs. Bingham
4-Prepare your audition
5-Attend your audition with your completed application signed with parent permission.
Applications are available in person form Mrs. Day or Mrs. Bingham.

Option 1: Group Audition (Ensemble/Chorus Only)

Sing the 40 second cutting in unison with a group of 8 students.
Blend your volume, tone, and vowel shapes with the other singers.
Lock into the exact rhythm of the backing track and your group.
Maintain bright facial expressions and high performance energy.
Demonstrate strong teamwork and support for your group members.
Option 2: Solo Audition (Lead & Featured Roles)

Step forward from the group to sing the 40 second cutting individually.
Communicate a clear story and specific mental images through the lyrics.
Enunciate with sharp, crisp consonants so every word is clear.
Maintain direct eye contact and connection with the audition panel.
Vary your vocal dynamics from an intimate start to a powerful finish.
Display confident stage presence with tall posture and relaxed breathing.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be memorized?
Yes, we like to see your face and that is hard when you are looking down.
Will there be more auditions?
Yes-call backs for specific roles will be by invitation.
Will there be a dance audition?
Yes-there may be a need for a dance audition. More information will be given if needed.
What should I wear to my audition?
I like to think of an audition like a job interview. Show us your best self.
What time should I be there to audition?
A good guide is 15 minutes prior to your time.
After my audition time am I free to go?
Yes once you have done your audition you can leave.
