About Me

I am a 2013 graduate of Berwick Area High School. I began my college career at Luzerne County Community College, where I earned an A.A.S. in Early Childhood Education and graduated Summa Cum Laude (4.0) in 2015.

From there, I transferred to Bloomsburg University. I earned a B.S.Ed. with PreK-4 Certification, and a Minor in Music. I was the Top Honor Graduate from the College of Education, in December 2017.

After graduation, I served as a long-term substitute in Middle School Music/Chorus and Kindergarten in the Central Columbia School District. I was also a long-term substitute (Kindergarten) in the Line Mountain School District.

Finally, I was hired at Berwick in 2019, working in Title I Reading. I gained deep knowledge and skill in effective reading instruction and assessment. In the 2020-2021 school year, I taught K-1 ELA in Berwick's cyber program, as well as Kindergarten at Salem Elementary.

On December 10, 2021, I graduated from Bloomsburg University with my K-12 Reading Specialist Certification and Master of Education Degree in Reading. As of May 2022, I earned my Level I certification in the Wilson Reading System. I am now a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner!
