Semester 1
July:
Summer Meeting
August:
1st Annual Senior Sunrise
September:
We started sponsoring dress-up days for game nights.
We introduced a spirit trophy and games during club day.
October:
We took over the bottle cap competition.
We held a school-wide scavenger hunt.
We collected cans for Trick-or-Treat-so-Others-Can-Eat.
We sponsored the Halloween costume contest.
We held our Fall Blood Drive.
November:
We attended the StuCo District Convention at Perryville.
Coach Botsch won Principal of the Year.
We held a Glow Dance.
We helped sponsor a food truck day and a seatbelt presentation.
We presented Booster to Belts in the elementary.
We celebrated our first StuCo Friendsgiving.
December:
We hosted the 12 Days of Christmas which included 12 dress-up days, a photo contest, a tree decorating contest, a supply drive, and a penny war.
We held our 9th annual Clash of the Classes.
We had our Christmas meeting/gift exchange.
Bailey organized a Christmas Blood Drive.
Semester 2
January:
We celebrated Homecoming Week with games, dress-up days, the Homecoming dance, and the coronation.
The 7th Grade celebrated their Penny War win with free Mexican food.
We placed Self-Care Stations in all student bathrooms.
We helped acquire new mirrors for the bathrooms and new clocks for the hallways.
February:
We won 1st place in the bottle cap competition.
Bailey pied Mrs. Bates for helping us earn money at the Winter Blood Drive and meeting her goal.
We held the Spring Blood Drive.
March:
We held Dude. Be Nice Week which included dress-up days and the student vs teacher pie/slime contest.
We donated $1400 to the Stoddard County Children’s home.
StuCo ate dinner together at La Cascada.
We introduced the Don Lee Kindness project, we celebrated our teachers via StuCo Secret Pals, and we recognized students and staff who are kind.
Kindness Projects Included:
7th Grade- Donated Birthday Cake Kits to a local food pantry.
8th Grade- Made goodie basket to pass out around town to city employees.
9th Grade- Collected socks to donate to various organizations.
10th Grade- Worked with the elementary to collect and donate cereal to a local food pantry.
11th Grade- Took turns taking out the trash for the school janitors.
12th Grade- Replenished the Self-Care Stations in the bathroom.
April:
We took the first place bottle cap winners skating and served the second place winners pizza.
We held a school-wide Easter Egg Hunt.
We held StuCo elections.
We helped sponsor Yearbook Week.
May:
We surveyed the students and staff about the school year.
We held “May Mania, ” a week of dress-up and spirit days as a countdown to the end of school.
We held "Senior Week," a week of dress-up and spirit days as a countdown to graduation.
We held our first annual Senior Sundown.
We made and presented a video for the 6th grade and held a Q&A session about junior high.
We sponsored a food truck, game day, and kickball tournament on the last day of school.
