I began teaching at Ridge High School in September 2014. Prior to joining Ridge, I was Senior Pharmaceutical Analyst, Equity Research, at Wells Fargo Securities, LLC, and predecessor companies from March 2000 until May 2013, and Analyst (January 1998 - February 2000) and Associate Analyst (June 1995 - December 1997) in Equity Research at Salomon Smith Barney. In addition to my Wall Street experience, I was Associate Principal and Senior Scientist at Schering-Plough Research Institute from January 1989 - June 1995, responsible for the design and synthesis of drug candidates for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. I received my MS and PhD in Organic Chemistry from Cornell University (NIH Predoctoral Fellow), and MBA (beta gamma sigma) in Finance from New York University's Stern School of Business (Stern Scholar). I am a holder of the CFA designation, and a co-inventor on three issued US patents.

I currently serve as advisor of Chemistry League 1 and am the assistant coach of the Ridge Girls' Golf Team.

Outside Ridge High School, I taught at Livingston Chinese School from September 2004 to June 2014, and served as Principal from July 2013 to June 2015. Currently I serve on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Chinese Cultural Studies Foundation as Vice Chairperson.
