If I’m judging, am I driving my student straight to the tournament?

Yes, if you are not a carpool driver, it is expected you will drive your child straight to the tournament, even if a bus or carpool is being provided. If you need to make other arrangements, you must notify Ms. Bosso the Tuesday before the tournament.

I'm a judge. I drove my student to the tournament, but I don't want to wait around until awards are finished. Can my child get transportation home?

If this tournament is a bus or carpool tournament, you must have notified Ms. Bosso by Tuesday before the tournament to arrange a ride home for your student. Otherwise, no.

Does my child’s carpool driver pick them up from home in the morning?

No. Every student is expected to arrive at Ridge the morning of the tournament. Once each carpool’s members have arrived, one student representative from each carpool will check in with the coach on duty, by car number, to get clearance for their departure.

Does my child’s carpool driver drop them off at home at night?

Yes, they do.

If I sign up to carpool and/or judge, and my student ends up not competing at the tournament, am I still expected to complete my volunteerism?

Yes, you are, and we thank you! We rely on parents to meet our judging and carpooling quotas. Please be aware that cancelations to your volunteerism within 7 days of the tournament are subject to a $50 fine. We appreciate your understanding.
