Student Council consists of LCS 5th graders. Typically, 3 children from each 5th grade class are elected by their classroom peers. Any 5th grader can run for office! He/she must prepare a speech and present it to his/her classmates and teacher.
Student Council Reps help run many exciting programs providing leadership and being positive role models for all of LCS!
Some of the yearly programs/activities that Student Council members participate in include:
*Running KC's School Store (Located in LCS Cafeteria-Store is open from 8:15-8:15 1st Friday of every month)
*Holiday Toy Drive Collection
*Meeting With Aramark Cafeteria Director
*Running Char Education Assemblies
*Flag Day Ceremony
*Memorial Day Ceremony
*Helping to organize and run our annual 5th Grade Car Wash every June! (proceeds go to local non-profits)
Every June, LCS 5th Grade Student Council members help organize our annual Car Wash fundraiser. All 5th graders are invited and encouraged to participate!
5th graders vote on a local charity/local agency to donate 100% of our proceeds!
Previous recipients have included the Liberty Corner Fire Department and Rescue Squads!
