What are Vex Robotics Kits?

VEX V5 is a metal-based robotics platform with bolt-together pieces that are machinable to create any mechanism. Students can begin at any level and move to more advanced engineering concepts as they explore and challenge their robotic designs and programs.

To use Vex Kits:

The Classroom and Competition Mechatronics Kit provides for a focus on mechanical functions and advanced mechanisms using our most popular motion and structure equipment.

Use The VEX EDR Curriculum to start teaching with VEX Robotics, from the basics of engineering, robotics and design all the way up to a semester-ending classroom competition. The Cortex Classroom Super Kit engages students by bringing math, engineering, and computer science classes to life. Through hands-on building and programming, students can explore these subjects while moving at their own pace through our STEM Labs, or the hardware can be easily integrated into existing curriculum.

All extension kits will come to you organized in a large black DeWalt toolbox and a separate smaller components toolkit.

It is the borrower's responsibility to ensure the kits come back as they were received.

One way to help students do this is by taking photos of the completed kits before disassembling them. :-)

To check out items you will need to create an account in the platform below. Accounts are free. Please be sure to save your username and password for future reservations.
Please only reserve the amount of items needed for your students.
Items will be delivered and picked up by the BCIU delivery service and will be subject to their established delivery schedule and district building pickup and drop-off locations.
Items can be borrowed for a maximum of two weeks (extensions can be requested).
Please complete this reservation form AT LEAST two weeks prior to requesting date. We will do our best to honor request dates, but know this will be dependent on availability and staffing. We cannot guarantee delivery dates for requests.
