About the

library staff

I have been the librarian at King Middle School since 2007. Prior to that I have taught humanities and have been a librarian at Jefferson High School. I have a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of California, San Diego. I obtained my teaching credential from San Francisco State University and my Master's in Library and Information Science (MLIS) from San Jose State University.

I am an alumna of UC Santa Cruz, with a major in Studies in Western Civilization. I love kids, books, art, writing, film and theater. In addition to my duties at the Library, I teach after school classes in creative writing and film making. In 2016, I founded PowerOn Films, a film company in Berkeley, California.
