DC Parent Leadership Meeting
Thursday, October 6
7:30 - 8:30pm
In order to make this trip possible for all who want to go, everyone helps.
And, we will specifically need a group of parents who can commit some time and energy to help us organize our effort.
The two areas we will need support are fundraising and communications.
If you are able and willing to be on the leadership team, please join us.
Student Letter of Interest
All students who want to go to Washington DC are required to write a one page letter about why they want to go and what they hope to get out of this experience.
Letters are due Wednesday October 19th at the Mandatory Registration Meeting.
Mandatory Registration Meeting for All participating
Guardians and Students ~ King Courtyard and Staff Room
Wednesday, October 19 7 - 9 pm
If you need an alternative appointment time please notify us prior to the 19th.
Make arrangements to come to the mandatory registration on Wednesday, October 19th in the Staff Room off the courtyard.
Families will be waiting in line to sign contracts and fill out the online forms.
Please be patient and not hungry. Please come during the following times: Last Name A - M: 7 - 8pm
Last Name N - Z: 8 - 9pm
Please be sure students have their one page Letters of Interest.
Please be sure to bring a check for $500 made out to BUSD MLK Student Association, if you are able to (no one is turned away for financial reasons).
At this meeting families should be prepared to let us know how much financial aid they are requesting.
