Microsoft Office
I no longer teach the Microsoft Office class. I teach a similar class called Essential Software Skills. Other teachers at Berkeley Adult School teach Microsoft Office. The Microsoft Office class uses a textbook and go into more intermediate and advanced skills whereas the Essential Software Skills class is a nice introduction to Microsoft Office and Google Docs using curriculum from Northstar Digital Literacy.
The resources at this site can help you learn Microsoft Office for any user. The Microsoft Office class teaches students beginning to intermediate skills in the popular Microsoft Office programs Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Students complete many exercises and will earn a school class completion certificate. Students are encouraged to Bring Their Own Device if they have one with Office 2016 or newer.
The Microsoft Office class can prepare you for the Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOS) Certification that is becoming popular in employment settings as proof of ability in a Microsoft Office Program. Students can take the exam at Alvarado Adult School. For more information about certification contact Joann Miller at jmiller@wccusd.net.
