International House (I-House) at UC Berkeley is a vibrant multicultural residential center that brings together nearly 600 students and scholars from over 70 countries, including the United States. Founded in 1930 through a gift from John D. Rockefeller Jr., I-House fosters intercultural respect, lifelong friendships, and leadership skills for a more just and peaceful world. Downtown Berkeley Station: This is the closest station. Please be aware it is a 20-25 minute uphill walk to International House (I-House). Taxis are available.
Rockridge Station: From this station, you can transfer to the 51A bus, which runs along College Avenue.
Bear Transit (Campus Shuttle)
The shuttle stops directly in front of I-House.
You can board the shuttle across from the Downtown Berkeley BART station (at Center & Shattuck).
