Zayim Jamil
Graduate Student
Education
Graduate Student in Chemistry, University of California, Berkeley, 2025-present
B.A. in Chemistry with a minor in Psychology, Cornell University, 2021-2025
Research
Zayim is investigating the synthesis and topology of molecular cages via reversible zirconocene couplings.
Experience
At Cornell, Zayim worked with Professor Phillip Milner studying, designing, and testing a universal high-concentration aqueous synthesis route for salicylate-based metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). This research led to the discovery of a novel MOF: Zn-m-MOF-74
Hobbies
In his free time Zayim enjoys hiking, exploring nature, trying new foods, learning obscure facts and playing video games competitively (especially fighting games).
