Taylor Huie
Undergraduate Student
Education
B.S. in Chemistry, University of California, Berkeley, 2022-present
B.A. in Asian American Studies, University of California, Berkeley, 2022-present
Research
Taylor is investigating the synthesis and reactivity of first row-transition metal multiple bonds with Group 14 elements.
Experience
Taylor began her undergraduate research while studying abroad, working with Prof. Chang-Ming Jiang at National Taiwan University investigating the photoelectrochemical reduction of organic biomass substrates by developing thin-film semiconductor electrodes. Returning to Berkeley she joined the Tilley Group where she now works in inorganic synthesis!
Hobbies
Taylor was born and raised in Los Angeles and deeply misses the sunshine (˙◠˙) so you can often find her photosynthesizing on the grass in her free time (when the weather permits ‧₊˚✿). She also picks up new hobbies every other month (and drops them equally as quickly) so at any given time you can find her playing cello, crocheting, baking, building model kits, and more! She also has an intense addiction to purchasing sweet treats....(๑ᵔ⤙ᵔ๑)
