M.Sc. in Chemistry, Goethe-University, Frankfurt am Main (Germany), 2017-2019.
B.Sc. in Chemistry, Goethe-University, Frankfurt am Main (Germany), 2014-2017.
Research
Marcel studies the synthesis and reactivity of transition metal silicide complexes and related compounds.
Biography
Marcel studied chemistry in Frankfurt am Main (Germany). As a B.Sc. student, he joined the group of Prof. Matthias Wagner to work on the synthesis of boron-doped polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Striving for highest symmetry, Marcel investigated endohedral silafullerane clusters such as the siladodecahedrane [Cl@Si 20 H 20 ] – during his M.Sc. and doctoral studies. His interest in silicon chemistry eventually led him to the Tilley group.
