Lena Becker
Visiting Student
Education
Graduate Student, Heidelberg University, 2026-Present
B.S. in Chemistry and Biology, Heidelberg University, 2022-2026.
Research
Lena is studying second-row transition metal complexes supported by a binucleating naphthyridine-based PNNP ligand, as well as stepwise routes towards heterobimetallic analogues.
Experience
At Heidelberg University Lena worked in the Gade Group on the nitrene reactivity of a PNP-Rh(II) azide complex, photochemically generating a rhodium nitrene and studying its reactions with organic substrates as a possible route to C–H amination. Additionally, Lena carried out a research internship in the Dabringhaus Group, focusing on ligand synthesis for boron-bismuth compounds.
