Experience
Ellis was born and raised in a small town in west Michigan. Beginning his undergraduate education, he had plans to pursue engineering but was tantalized by his project with Assistant Prof. Josh Buss at the University of Michigan. Under Josh, Ellis fell in love with inorganic synthesis through his work on silicate ligand supported organometallic tantalum complexes.Â
Hobbies
While not in lab Ellis enjoys running, trying new foods and improving his baking. Ellis is excited to explore the Bay Area and experience life (as well as the food) on the west coast.
