Research
August is studying the synthesis of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons with interesting electronic and photophysical properties.
Experience
At Penn State, August studied oligomeric sensitizers for water splitting solar cells in the lab of Prof. Thomas Mallouk, as well as the synthesis of low-melting temperature zwitterions for polyelectrolyte membranes under the supervision of Prof. Rob Hickey.
