Xinlong received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Central South University and Tongji University in China, respectively. He obtained his PhD degree from Northeastern University. His doctoral research was focused on failure analysis of transmission towers subjected to hurricanes. At UC Berkeley, he is looking at failure of solar arrays under wind storms.
Camila obtained her B.S. from the University at Buffalo, SUNY and M.S. from the UC Berkeley SEMM program. Her research focuses on seismic behavior of bridges and hybrid simulation. Camila enjoys actively participating and organizing educational outreach activities
Huy received his BS from the University of Texas at Austin. His undergraduate research focused on optimization and design of ducted marine turbines. His current general research interests are earthquake engineering, and numerical modeling, and structure performance under extreme loading events.
Ya-Heng received his MS and BS degrees from National Taiwan University. His MS research focused on the influence of pulse-like ground motions on the behavior and design of friction pendulum bearing systems. His current research at UC Berkeley is on the collapse performance of different isolation systems.
William graduated with a BASc in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto. His current research deals with quantifying the strength and ductility of low rise shear walls in the context of bridge piers through experimentation and analysis. William is co-supervised by Prof. Jack Moehle. Outside of research, William also enjoys community outreach, playing jazz guitar, and designing games.
