Add NaCl to your reaction mixture, heat it, and then cool it again.

The video shows a small brown glass reagent bottle labeled “Sodium Chloride” next to a laboratory scale. The metal cover of the scale is removed, a piece of weighing paper placed on the scale, and the cover replaced. The reading on the scale is reset to zero and the metal cover removed again. The reagent bottle is uncapped and a metal scoopula is used to transfer several portions of transparent, whitish crystals from the reagent bottle to the weighing paper. The metal cover is replaced one last time and the screen on the scale reads “0.495 g.” Next we see the weighing paper folded in half diagonally and its contents being poured into an Erlenmeyer flask sitting in a sand bath. The flask contains a boiling stick as well as a small portion of black solution. Its contents are stirred with the boiling stick. The next shot shows the flask held next to the sand bath by a gloved hand.

Cool and analyze the product.
