The Stone Center for Environmental Stewardship at UC Berkeley creates positive, long-lasting outcomes for people and the planet by collaboratively solving environmental challenges. We advance our mission through three interrelated programs: Living Labs, Collaborations & Convenings, and Teaching & Training.
We connect place-based, innovative academic research with local expertise to solve real world problems on private, tribal, and public lands and waters.
We catalyze unique collaborations and facilitate interdisciplinary workshops to help solve our most pressing conservation challenges. We engage expert faculty and students from academic institutions, staff at local, state and federal agencies, tribal representatives and leaders, environmental and educational non-profit organizations, and more.
Collaborations
We teach, train, and learn from students, faculty, and colleagues at UC Berkeley and beyond to cultivate current and future generations of conservation leaders.
