Purpose: The purpose of the workshop is to bring together students and faculty for a week of focused activity to learn about new developments and research areas. The workshop will have lecture series in the mornings and discussion/problem solving sessions in the afternoons in small groups.
Topics: The morning lecture series are as follows:
Hector Pasten (PUC Chile): Sparsity of rational points via applications.
Ananth Shankar (University of Wisconsin, Madison): Special points and Isogenies in characteristic 0 and characteristic p.
