We are always excited to have new students join our organization! Reflejos de Mexico is open to all UC Berkeley Students. We encourage prospective members to attend informational(s) our organization hosts at the beginning of each term.

Do I need prior experience to join?
Do I need prior experience to join?
No! Reflejos del Sol welcomes any current UC Berkeley student who is interested and enthusiastic about learning traditional Mexican folk dance to join our group. Our group offers two practice groups: a Beginner's group and an Intermediate/Advanced group. Students are encouraged to attend the group(s) that best suit their comfort level.
Are there Tryouts?

There are no tryouts! Any current UC Berkeley student is welcome to join any point in the year.
Are shoes required?
Are shoes required?
No! Shoes are not required for practice. However, Folklorico shoes are required in order to perform.
What Regions do you have costumes for?

Our groups is always expanding on learning dances from different regions! These are the regions we currently have costumes for:
Jalisco
Sinaloa
Veracruz
Polka
Guerrero
Michoacán
Yucatán
Tamaulipas
Tierra Caliente
*Costumes are provided by our organization! Students will NOT have to purchase their own. Donations are always welcome to help fund for more costumes :)
