This website presents course projects completed by UC Berkeley students who completed Introduction to Production Planning and Logistics Models (IEOR 250) during the Fall 2024.
This website presents course projects completed by UC Berkeley students who completed Introduction to Production Planning and Logistics Models (IEOR 250) during the Fall 2024.
The course focuses on how to build mathematical models to solve several problems in supply chain management and how to apply optimization methods to make better planning and operational decisions. Topics include demand forecasting, deterministic and stochastic inventory models, multi-echelon inventory models, scheduling, deterministic and stochastic facillity location models, decomposition algorithms, and revenue management models.

For the project, students were asked to choose one topic from several topics provided by the course instructor then work on a technical report, in which they optimize a relevant decision-making problem using mathematical programming and optimization approaches.
