Informational Interviews

Informational interviews (in person, by telephone, or video conferencing) can be an empowering way to build your professional network and learn about the career path of someone you admire. A great place to start is with an alum of your program--ask your GSAO for contact details!

LinkedIn Learning is an online learning resource for large range of skills, including technology focused (programming, image/video editing/etc.) as well as professionalism (management, leadership, public speaking, etc.).

The OGD provides support and resources for prospective and current students with the goal of maintaining a more diverse grad community. They do mentoring and academic support as well as initiatives like STEM*FYI and GiGS (Getting Into Grad School). Also check out their page on Undocumented Graduate Student Resources!

The USP's goal is to support undocumented students through the barriers they face in their lives, academic and otherwise. They have great resources on their website, including this toolkit on income generation for undocumented students, a consistently updated FAQ on DACA, and many others. Of current interest is also their page on USP services in response to COVID-19.
