Half-day workshop at Festival of Learning 2026
June 27, 2026 2-6pm | Seoul, South Korea
The workshop will debut a chatbot integration framework for exploring educational system prompt design, along with the latest features of the Open Adaptive Tutor (OATutor) 2.0 platform. It will also feature guest speakers who will share their independent use of OATutor for research and instructional purposes, followed by hands-on activities in which participants design, test, and interact with GenAI-supported chatbot prompts. Through these activities, the workshop aims to lower the barrier to rapid research and development with adaptive tutors.
This workshop builds on tutorials at AIED ’23 and L@S ’23 to introduce the open-source, GenAI-enabled version of OATutor. OATutor is a fully open-source (MIT License) and Creative Commons adaptive tutoring system grounded in Intelligent Tutoring Systems principles [1] with Generative AI authoring tools [2].
