Part 1: Preparing TLC Supplies

Choose a solvent system (based on experiment #7) that you will use to develop the TLC plates. We will be using 10:10:1 toluene : ethyl acetate : acetic acid. Next, prepare the TLC developing chamber. You should also tape a TLC capillary to a wooden boiling stick, so that you will be able to dip the capillary into solutions in test tubes.
