Part 1: Preparing Column Supplies

Number a series of 18 clean, small test tubes from 1-18. These will be used to collect fractions of solvent from the column.

Obtain 10 mL each of 1:1 ethyl acetate:acetone and pure acetone in labeled 10-mL graduated cylinders. These are the eluent solvents (mobile phase) for the column.
