About me:
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, Irvine in the School of Education. I obtained my PhD in Education and a Graduate Certificate in Data Science from the University of California Berkeley. During my PhD studies, I collaborated with the Center for the Study of Child Care Employment (CSCCE) and New York University (TIPPS). I was a Data Science Fellow at Berkeley's D-Lab; and an affiliate at the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS).
My research interests focus on education and ethnic-boundary making; the causal effect of educational interventions on peoples beliefs and attitudes; and the long-term effects of education on the labor market. I am particularly interested in education in Latin America and how to improve educational opportunities for Indigenous, Hispanic, and Bilingual students.
My work has been funded by the UNESCO Global Education Monitoring Report Fellowship, the National Council on the Measurement of Education, and the Institute for Research on Labor and Employment of the University of California, Berkeley.Â
