The Dernburg lab encourages aspiring scientists to pursue their scientific ambitions at all stages of their careers. We hope to cultivate an inclusive environment where our curiosity will drive us to novel scientific discoveries.
At UC Berkeley, graduate students apply to a single program and rotate through 3 or more labs before deciding on a thesis lab. The Dernburg lab is a part of the Molecular and Cell Biology and Biophysics Graduate Group, and can consider students from other Berkeley programs. Please email Abby if you are interested in rotating in the lab.
We welcome highly motivated postdoctoral scholars with expertise in cell biology, genome biology, biophysics, and affiliated fields. If you are interested in joining us, please email Abby with your CV and a statement of what you hope to accomplish during and beyond your postdoctoral work, and why the lab might be a good fit for you.
The Dernburg lab encourages aspiring scientists to pursue their scientific ambitions. We welcome undergraduate interns through the Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program as well as through direct applications. Preference may be given to students intending to pursue research careers.
