Meet the Team

We are students of digital humanities united by our interest in analyzing and creating an inclusive environment for credit card users. We worked remotely on this project over summer of 2024, but our interests in the topic neither started nor ended then.

Justin Chen

Hi, I’m currently taking this last course to graduate as an economics major and data science minor. I’m from Los Angeles, CA. Some of my hobbies include playing golf, listening to music, and exploring new places. My favorite food is ramen. My favorite NBA player is Damian Lillard. In this project, I’m responsible for data visualizations.

Bingbing Ma

Hi, I am currently a rising senior at UC Berkeley, double majoring in Applied Mathematics and Data Science. I am from Irvine, CA. I have worked as an academic student employee for three years. My interests lie in data analytics, data visualization, and leveraging these skills to solve critical challenges. Outside of work, I enjoy listening to music, playing the piano, and sports such as tennis and badminton. In this project, I am responsible for writing project narratives.

Emily Fan

Hi, I am taking my last semester at UC Berkeley in the upcoming Fall, I major in Data Science and Economics. I enjoy outdoor activities like running and hiking. After graduation, I hope to work in the fields of data analytics or finance. I am responsible for writing the narratives of the project.

Boyu Fan

I’m Boyu Fan, a rising senior at UC Berkeley, double majoring in Economics and Data Science with minor in Statistics. My research interests lie at the intersection of computational methodologies and data-driven analysis, particularly focusing on the application of Conditional Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs) within the PyTorch Lightning framework. In this project, I’m responsible for data visualizations.

Shreya Napak

Hi, I’m Shreya Nepak, a rising junior at Berkeley majoring in data science and statistics. Currently, I live in Sunnyvale, CA. I enjoy playing tennis, watching movies, and hiking. I hope to eventually work in either data analytics or software engineering. For this project, I am responsible for helping out with writing the narrative.

Vy Dao

Hello my name is Vy, I am majoring in Cognitive Science and also minoring in Data Science. I love sketching, skydiving, surfing, and volleyball. I am responsible for writing narratives.
