Xujia Wei is a rising junior at UC Berkeley double majoring in Data Science and Dance and Performance Studies. She is passionate about digital humanities and city planning, and she loves exploring how technology and urban design can enhance community engagement and cultural expression. Jessica's unique blend of artistic and analytical skills drives her commitment to creating innovative, inclusive urban spaces. Jessica is responsible for the disability studies and the visualization of the unemployment rate by zip code and the curb ramps.
Shelly Chen is a rising junior at UC Berkeley majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology. She is particularly interested in the field of neuroscience research but would also like to broaden her scope of knowledge to the area of digital humanities. In her spare time, she enjoys video games and playing with her pet parrot. Shelly worked on writing the historical contextualization, data critique, and the analysis for the unemployment rate data.
Venus Yu is a senior majoring in Data Science at UC Berkeley. She enjoys combining technical expertise with a passion for media. Research areas of interest are the ethical use of data in the media and entertainment industry, and the use of data to uncover media consumption trends and audience behavior. In this project she works on the Introduction part, and the labor force and the income inequality data analysis.
Zhiheng He is a junior at UC Berkeley majoring in Data Science. He is interested in the data art and humanities and curious about how both affect our society. Outside of school, he likes to spend time traveling and hiking with friends. Zhiheng in this project is responsible for visualization and analytics.
Yihang Chen is a rising junior at UC Berkeley majoring in Data Science. He is interested in coding and exploring data ethics and digital humanities. He enjoys snowboarding and karting outside of school. Yihang worked on revising and writing the analysis for civilian labor force and income inequality.
Weicheng Liao is a junior student at UC Berkeley, he is doing a degree in Economics and Minor Data Science. He is a big fan of Data and literature and enjoys the chemistry that comes from the interaction between Data and literature. Outside of the classroom, he likes travel and hiking, and reads some Chinese history books. Weicheng is in charge of the regression analysis of civilian labor force and income inequality.
