Week of November 13:   E295/E270K Class section day/time(s) schedule released to capstone teams on bCourses to start reviewing class options.
Week of November 21:   E295/E270K ranking form released. POC submits on behalf of team.
November 21*:             Confidential Capstone Pulse Survey #2 - Team Progress  (posted in MEng 2023-24 bCourses as an assignment)
November 28:             Submit an updated version of the Project Canvas Workbook Deliverable #2

Week of November 13: E270K & E295B Team Focus - Schedule Released

Capstone is one of your signature experiences in the MEng program and learning to work collaboratively in a team is what will prepare you to jump start your success as a technical leader in your career. To maximize the benefits of this opportunity please make sure to prioritize this process with your team. 

• Review Spring 2024 Leadership Course Enrollment Zoom Info Session & slides. (see bCourses for recording) 

• E295/E270K class section day/time(s) released to capstone teams on bCourses to start reviewing class options. 

Week of November 21: E270K & E295B Ranking Form - Required Team Focus Courses

• Ranking form will be released to teams. Please read instructions carefully to ensure a smooth process.  Student teams must enroll in the same section as their teammates for Spring team-based required leadership courses: E295 and E270K. 

• POC of capstone teams will submit on behalf of capstone team. 

• Final deadline to submit form: December 1 @ 9am. 

November 21*: Capstone Pulse Survey # 2 (Team Progress)

*This deadline was moved from Nov. 7 to Nov. 21. 

Note: Students in IEOR/Fintech track: You will form teams and work on your project later in the semester. Please do not complete Pulse Survey #1 and #2. You will complete Pulse Survey #3 in Spring semester. 

• Pulse surveys are confidential (and seen only by Fung staff) and are useful for us to help support your teams in navigating team dynamics, working with partner organizations, and providing your team with the resources you need to be successful. We want to co-design this experience with you to make it the most impactful for your academic and career success. 

• This pulse survey #2 focuses on project progress and teaming experience. 

• Assignment - Individually complete the pulse survey #2 using the survey link found under Assignments. 

• While completing the survey is mandatory, your answers do not (and CANNOT) impact your grades.

• Deadline: Tuesday, Nov. 21, 11:59pm. This survey will close promptly at this date and time. 

November 28: Project Canvas Workbook Deliverable #2

Note: Students in IEOR/Fintech track: You will form teams and work on your project later in the semester. Your deliverables are the Project Canvas due on 12/9.  Assignment will need to be submitted by the point-of-contact (one team member) of each Fintech team. 

• Submit an updated version of the Project Canvas Workbook. 

• Assignment will need to be submitted by the point-of-contact (one team member) per assignment in the 2023-24 MEng program bCourses. 

November Check-In Meetings with Fung Staff

• Capstone check-in meeting gives your team an opportunity to discuss and get feedback on project plans, team effectiveness, and reporting deliverables. You're welcome to reach out and make an appointment; alternatively, Fung capstone staff will reach out to you throughout the semester.
