Pulse Surveys & Program Assessment

At various points during the course of the year, students are asked to provide feedback concerning various aspects of the capstone project, teaming experience, and advising support.  These surveys are confidential and can be accessed only by Fung staff.

Capstone Check-In Meetings

Capstone check-in meeting gives your team an opportunity to discuss and get feedback on project plans, team effectiveness, and reporting deliverables.

Your team is welcome to schedule a check-in meeting at your convenience  (always feel free to email and propose alternative times). Capstone staff will also reach out to capstone teams to request a check-in meeting.

Check-in conversations are confidential (with a few exceptions pertaining to health, safety, and wellbeing).  Fung staff has no influence on your capstone grades. Our goal is to help you make the best of your capstone experience.

Individual students are also welcome to schedule an appointment. In addition to the topics listed above, we can discuss your leadership style, motivation, team dynamics, and the relationship between capstone and professional goals.  These meetings are confidential.

Check-In Meetings with Partner-Advised Teams

Check-in meetings with students pursuing partner-advised projects are slightly more formal than meetings with students on a faculty-advised project. During these meetings, our goal is to ensure that your team is prepared for being assessed by your Faculty Liaison. While project documentation (e.g., meeting minutes) is important for all teams, it is particularly important for partner-led teams.
