A summer tradition at the University of California, Berkeley for over fifty years, the Greek Workshop (Greek 15) is a ten-week intensive introductory language course for students with little or no previous experience in Ancient Greek. The Workshop counts for ten units, equivalent to almost three semesters of Berkeley Greek courses during the academic year. After successfully completing the Workshop, students will be ready to work through third-semester college Attic prose such as Plato or Lysias or, in many cases, an upper-level Greek reading course.
In 2026, the Workshop will be conducted in-person on the UC Berkeley campus. There will be no online option.
