ACCESS WORLD NEWS FOR CURRENT EVENTS
Access World News is a great site on our virtual library for current event articles.
It updates daily with events that are happening at the present time that are visible right when you login.
On the right-hand side it has a section called "Daily Headlines", these are the top 10 articles of the day, these articles come with lesson plans.
They also provide over 400 lesson plans for teachers based on current events that are easily downloadable.
Students have access to newspapers and resources from all over the world.
SCIENCE
Using Access Science For STEM
The database gives access to articles, briefings, news, biographies, media and even project ideas.
It covers all scientific principles and can serve as a great outlet for students conducting research.
The articles are all scholarly reviewed and provide a citation option at the bottom of each article.
ESL & WORLD LANGUAGE
FluentU
Videos on Youtube that mimic real life events in English.
Good videos for students to watch conversation flow between two people.
Easily accessible to students to watch and access at home.
Available in multiple languages besides English.
