Our Vision for Learning
The future may be unwritten, but our guiding question never changes: Is this in the best interest of our students? The answer, always, is yes.
We have built an environment where rigorous academic coursework meets hands-on technical training in state-of-the-art labs — because real understanding comes from doing, not just studying. Our students do not wait to enter the world; they engage with it now, tackling real-world challenges through experimentation, collaboration, and creative problem-solving.
For two decades, Bergen Tech has been a model of educational excellence; not by standing still, but by continuously evolving. Our faculty bring more than expertise to the classroom; they bring genuine investment in every student's success. Classrooms are collaborative spaces where ideas are tested, questions are welcomed, and learning is a shared pursuit. Walk our halls and you feel it immediately.
At Bergen Tech, high expectations aren't imposed, they're internalized. Students track their own growth through reflection journals, learning logs, and portfolio assessments. Curiosity is treated as a discipline. Underpinning it all is a commitment to ACT: Acceptance, Commitment, and Take Action. Mistakes are not obstacles; they are data. Struggle is not failure — it is progress in motion.
By consistently pushing students to think deeper and reach further, we have cultivated something rare: a community genuinely excited to learn. Our graduates don't just enter the workforce, they shape it. They are equipped not only for the careers of today, but for roles and industries that don't yet exist.
Community & Belonging
Voices from Bergen Tech
"Becoming an Apple Teacher didn't just change how I teach commercial art — it changed how I show up for every teacher in this building. Now creativity is something we're all building together." — Bridget Centeno Apple Certified Teacher, Commercial Art
"When a teacher walks into their classroom, they shouldn't have to think about technology — it should just be there and ready. We support 681 students across every discipline in this school, and Apple School Manager lets us handle everything behind the scenes. The goal is simple: no barriers between students and learning." — Kevin Price, Technology Department
"We believe the best learning happens when students build with each other — not compete against each other. Apple gives us the tools to make that real every single day. It inspires curiosity, gives students the space to imagine what's possible, and creates a measurable impact in their lives and their futures." — Rosie Cabanilla Alves, Vice Principal
