Team 5D Student Expectations

1. Enter the classroom quietly and quickly take your seat. Prepare materials to begin class. 

2. Students will be dismissed by the teacher in groups. Students will then line up by lockers in the hallway closest to the next class, and wait quietly to enter. 

3. There is one hall pass per classroom. Students will also need to fill out a digital hall pass (via Infinite Campus) to leave the room.

4. Students that are struggling to follow expectations will be issued a warning for their first offense. Asked to fill out a behavior form for their second offense. Third offenses result in a phone call/email home. Lastly, fourth offenses result in a referral to admin. 

5. Students will check the board when entering the classroom and fill out their planner. Then start working on bell work. 

6. Late Work: We will follow the district's new grading policy. On time= 100% 1 day late= 50% 2+ days late= zero credit

7. Missing work due to absence: It is the students responsibility to check the missing bin/folder and/or see their teacher for makeup/missing work from when they were absent. Please also check Google Classroom. 

8. Cell phones are NOT permitted during instructional time (class periods with instruction). During instructional time (class periods with instruction), phones must be placed in the classroom caddy, located in every BMMS classroom. Phones must be off or silenced while stored. 

9. Cell phones are NOT permitted to be used/visible during any other time of the day.  Not in hallways, the cafeteria, the bathrooms, etc.

I was not RESPECTFUL by…

____being uncooperative with a peer/adult

____arguing/disobeying an adult

____not following directions/working in class

____not bringing/using materials correctly

I was not SAFE by…

____running/horseplay

____not keeping hands/feet to myself

Categories for which students will automatically receive an administrative referral

1. Physically Aggressive with people/property

2. Profanity/Inappropriate gesture

3. Sexual or Racial Harassment

4. Bullying

Every third demerit = Team detention or automatic writeup in IC

• Up to teacher discretion along with the handbook the teacher may decide to simply write a referral in the districts Infinite Campus to be handled at the administrative level.
