Please see the information below for internet access information. We are now offering a limited number of free wireless hotspot devices to students who have no internet access at home and qualify through the Free/Reduced Lunch program.
"We are pleased to announce that the Berea City School District is partnering with PCs for People. Through this partnership, students who do not have internet at home will be eligible to receive a hotspot through PCs for People.
All you have to do is go to www.pcsforpeople.org/ohio on your smartphone or call (216) 930-5741, provide some basic information and proof of BCSD school enrollment (hard copy or screenshot of a report card or schedule). They will be very flexible with what documentation is used – it just needs to include the school name and the student’s name.
If you need internet, you can choose to receive a mobile hotspot with unlimited data. The cost of the hotspot device is $20 and there is financial aid available that could either reduce or waive that fee. The hotspot has a 2-year subscription that is FREE! This will last for 2 years and can be used for schoolwork or other reasons. PCs for People will be following proper social distancing practices during pickup to maintain your safety.
Please sign-up as soon as possible, as the devices are available on a first-come, first-served basis. However, PCs for People will continue to work with partners in Cuyahoga County to obtain additional funding if the need exceeds the current supplies of devices. Please directly contact PCs for People with any questions at (216) 930-5741.
Sincerely,
Bryan Mauk, Executive Director, PCs for People Ohio
