TEST RETAKE POLICY: The BCSD has mandated throughout the district that students may retake (if interested) a test if the initial grade was not satisfactory. The higher grade will be factored into the class grade (90% content mastery). There will need to be a few conditions for one to be eligible to participate in a test retake:
MATH:
Retakes to be completed 2 weeks from the test grade being posted.
You must also complete the Math Retake Form and return it the day before your scheduled retake.
Complete and turn in all of the units work.
Complete the Math Retake Form.
Complete Re-learn assignment, with a 75%- assigned by Mrs. Meyer
Return the completed form with the Re-learn assignment the day before your scheduled retake.
ELA:
Students who 75% or lower on ANY Content Mastery Assignment are eligible for relearning and a retake opportunity
Steps
Complete the Relearning/Retake Request Form.
Complete the assigned relearning.
Earn 70% or higher on the relearning. **Need more time to practice? Ask!
Allow Ms. Pame 24 hours to grade the relearning.
Complete the retake. The highest grade earned will be used.
No relearning = No retake.
SCIENCE:
To be eligible for a retake, students must:
Show evidence of additional independent practice with the test content/skills.
No relearning = No retake.
SOCIAL STUDIES:
Student MUST show evidence (adequate completion) of further INDEPENDENT practice (Cloze notes, Personal Response/Interview, etc.) with test content/skill (assessment) prior to retaking a test.
Student must complete the retake within five (5) school days of the initial test date.
Student needs to arrange to take the “retake” outside of class (Advisory, Flex, AM/PM school day).
