In December the ALC bought gifts and delivered them to residents at The Homesteader in Benzonia. They spent time getting to know the residents and their history in the area. The ALC members had a great time and we believe the residents did as well. It is a great feeling to give back and spend time with those who have experienced so much in their lives and given so much to our community. We can't wait to do it again.

Members of The Athletic Leadership Council here at Benzie Central attended the MHSAA Sportsmanship Summit held at the Grand Traverse Resort on Monday 11/10 to discuss their ideas of sportsmanship and how to influence positive behaviors on and off of the athletic venues they compete on.
They continue to represent the Benzie Central community with pride, leadership, good sportsmanship and class
In Fall of 2025, The ALC has hosted a community Spaghetti Dinner as well as a month long can drive with all of the Non-Perishable items being donated back to our local community through BACN.
The athletic department would like to congratulate the Benzie Central Athletic Leadership Council graduating senior members:

It has been such a pleasure working with the ALC class of 2025 Seniors over the years.
They started out as sophomores into this new club idea to give Benzie Central athletes a voice in their school sports programs. Holding at least a 3.25 GPA and participating in sportsmanship summits, watching MHSAA rules meetings, reading at the local elementary schools, getting CPR/AED certified, having discussions on what Benzie Central sports athletes want to see in their school sports, cleaning up bleachers after games, food drives for BACN, and being leaders on the field and off the field.
Thank you for being such great representatives of your school, your teams, your families, and our Benzie Central community.

In March, Athletic Leadership Councill members visited local elementaries and read to our younger students. It was a blast!
